For ages: 8-12, best read as a family.

Bounce Back: How to Be a Resilient Kid is a great resource for parents, even though the author wrote the book for kids.

Bounce Back: How to Be a Resilient Kid is chock full of helpful information about dealing with strong emotions. It covers the A-Z of helping children manage stress and “bounce back” from feeling overwhelmed and stuck.

It hits all the big points around stress management like stress triggers, calming techniques, how to cope with different situations, and how to ask people for help and support. These are life skills we all need!

I would recommend that kids 8-12 years old read this book with a trusted adult, with lots of time for discussion.

Over and over again, parents tell us how painful it is to watch their child struggle with stress. Parents have so many questions about what they can do to help.  This book teaches parents how to help their kids understand and work through the strong emotions and challenging situations that are part of daily life.
